ADA Compliance

The Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability. The Recreation Authority will make reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities who meet essential eligibility requirements for the desired program. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to contact BVRA regarding special accommodations needed for enjoyment of programs

“Resident” Status for Purposes of Fees For Activities & Events

The Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority, under the auspices of local municipalities, is authorized to serve our community with varied and affordable recreation, activities, classes, and events. As an authority of these municipalities we are subject to standard reporting practices regarding our members’ residency status in regards to allocation of municipal resources. This information is also key to us understanding who our community is and how we can better serve you.

If you reside in East Buffalo Township or Lewisburg Borough, you qualify as a “resident” and receive the discounted price on our rate scale. If you reside elsewhere you are very much needed to support our Authority and your residency information will enable us to report to areas who don’t at present support us in the hope that they will be willing to provide funding to us in the future. Additional municipal funding will enable us to give our resident discount to more of our community.
