Recent warm temps have slowed our ice accumulation at the rink. As of 8am on Thursday, January 17th the ice remains too thin to safely hold even one person. Our maintenance team has drilled a number of small test holes in the ice and found there to be less than 1 inch of ice in several areas. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Temps over the weekend are predicted to drop well below zero. We hope that this will lead to an accumulation of ice, and that we will be able to open for the weekend of Thursday, January 24th. Please check back here for updates. We will post updates on the BVRA Facebook page and you can get an update on rink conditions anytime by calling 570-524-6776.
