Outdoor Bison Adventure Summer Camp

BVRA wants to help kids connect to nature, find their sense of belonging in that space through the spirit of adventuring. Mother nature is one of our greatest teachers. We want children to explore learning about ones self through the catalyst of the outdoors! Come Adventure with us!

What is this camp?

This is a curriculum based 5-day adventure camp where we will explore learning through the catalyst of hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and indoor rock climbing.  We will also learn Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics, implement leadership and character development through low ropes team building activities.  Ultimately this experience will be fun, engaging, empowering, and educational.

Each day we will start at 205 Saint Lawrence Street where parents can drop of children at 8:30 am.  We will then transport campers by a passenger van to local state parks, nature areas, and climbing gym to engage in our activity for the day.  We will return to the address above by 5 pm for finish of our day.  If you need early drop off or late pick up that form 7:30-8:30 am or 5-6 pm that will be an additional fee.

How to prepare for the day?

Children should come with a day pack and dressed in the appropriate clothing for the day including proper footwear.  In that pack should include extra layers, rain gear, visor/hat, sunscreen, bug spray, lunch (we will provide snacks, but feel free to pack extras to supplement), on water days boating clothes such as a swim suit, swim shirt, & quick dry towel.  We will be outside the entire day.  Children must come prepared.

Ages, Costs, & Dates

Campers can be from ages 9-14 to participate.  Folks will need to fill out the appropriate waivers and releases to participate.  The cost of this camp is $435 for Residents of Lewisburg Borough and East Buffalo Township.  Non-Residents are $445.  For this camp to run we must have 10 participants enrolled with a max capacity of 13 participants.  We are offering three of these camps this summer.  Session 1: June 15-19, 2020, Session 2: July 20-24, 2020, Session 3: Aug 10-14, 2020.
