The Lewisburg Community Pool will open for the 2018 season on Saturday, June 2nd, at 11am and remain open through August 25th! Traditionally the pool has opened on Memorial Day weekend. However, due to weather delays for pool repairs, the pool will open one week late. A late spring and rainy weather have delayed repairs to the bottom of the lap pool, baby pool, and zero entry area. Said BVRA Executive Director, Stacey Sommerfield, “It’s disappointing. We have staff hired, concessions purchased, and we’re ready to open. Mother nature just hasn’t cooperated with our best plans.”
The pool is excited to offer the community many new programs this summer. Pool hours are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am to 8:00pm and Monday through Friday from Noon to 8:00pm every weekday. For anyone looking to learn to swim or improve their skills, the Lewisburg Community Pool is offering swim lessons all summer. Lessons will be offered in one week sessions to better accommodate the community’s busy schedule. Lessons are available for all levels from preschool to upper level stroke development. This summer will also feature diving lessons taught by Josh Powell, diving coach at Susquehanna University.
Memberships are still available for the 2018 season, with discounted rates for families of four or more. Pool rentals are still available for private parties or the pool features a cabana that can be rented for parties during regular admission hours.
